The Self-Assessment for White Men Who Lead

This 50-question tool will help you and your Coach/Trainer gauge where you are in your diversity learning and leadership. Together, you will use this information to dramatically improve the way you learn and lead on diversity and inclusion.

This is a confidential process — only you and your Coach/Trainer will look at your specific results. You can choose to share your results and learning with your colleagues as you see fit. Your Coach/Trainer will share only summary information with your organization, and do so in a manner that completely protects your individual responses.

For each of the following statements, select Agree or Disagree based on what you think, believe, and do right now. It is, of course, absurdly counter-productive to "game" a self-assessment — you only hurt yourself! So answer each statement based on how true it is for you right now, not how you have led in the past, nor how you hope to lead in the future. For example:

I'm just getting started learning about diversity.
Select Disagree if you've focused on learning about diversity for years.

Others see me as an expert on diversity and inclusion.
Select Disagree if that's how you want to be seen but aren't yet.

Prior to your Coaching or Training, you will receive an Assessment Report based on your responses. This will provide a starting point for working with your Coach/Trainer.
